RainTech Announces Path to Full Employee Ownership

December 16, 2025/in Blogs, RainTech In The News/by RainTech

RainTech is taking a major step in how the company is built, governed, and sustained. By the end of Q1 2026, RainTech will become a 100 percent employee-owned organization, with every team member holding a meaningful stake in the company’s future.

This transition reflects RainTech’s long-standing ethos, People, period., and formalizes a belief the company has lived by for years: the people doing the work should share in the value they create.

Why Employee Ownership

Employee ownership is not a trend RainTech is following. It is a structural decision rooted in culture, accountability, and long-term thinking.

“Employee ownership isn’t just a perk — it’s the logical extension of the culture we live by every day,” said Andrew Jahnke, CEO of RainTech. “By giving every team member real equity, we reinforce shared responsibility and build a company designed to last.”

To support this transition, RainTech has established a legal trust to control company stock and outlined a clear roadmap toward full employee ownership. All current and future team members will earn shares at no cost, aligning individual contribution with the company’s long-term success.

Strengthening Culture Through Shared Ownership

Ownership changes how people show up. When employees are also owners, engagement deepens, collaboration strengthens, and accountability becomes collective rather than assigned.

“When employees become owners, everyone is more deeply invested in the company’s future,” said Holly Mitchell, Chief People Officer at RainTech. “This shared responsibility naturally enhances teamwork, motivation, and long-term stability. It also creates an environment where people feel secure enough to focus on doing great work together.”

RainTech believes that durable companies are built by teams who feel connected to outcomes, not just tasks. Broadly distributed equity ensures that success is shared, not siloed.

‘People, period.’ in Practice

RainTech’s ethos — People, period. — commits the organization to putting humans at the center of decisions, from how work is structured to how growth is managed.

Employee ownership supports that commitment by:

  • Increasing financial participation and long-term security
  • Encouraging thoughtful innovation over short-term gains
  • Creating a culture where accountability is shared across the organization

This approach allows RainTech to grow intentionally while maintaining the integrity of its values.

Looking Ahead

As RainTech moves toward full employee ownership, the company remains focused on sustainable growth, continuous improvement, and building a workplace where people are empowered to contribute meaningfully.

The transition represents not just a change in ownership, but a commitment to building a company designed for longevity — one where success is shared, and responsibility is collective.
